Signs your business has outgrown its tools

Most businesses we talk to have at least two of these. A bit of custom software fixes the root of them, not just the symptoms.

  • The business runs on spreadsheets

Five versions of the same file, one person who understands the formulas, and nobody sure which copy is right.

  • Off-the-shelf software doesn't fit

You bend the way you work to suit the software, and pay for features nobody uses.

  • The same details typed in three places

An order goes into email, then a spreadsheet, then the accounts. Every copy is a chance for a mistake.

  • Customers ring to ask where things are

Order status, job progress, delivery dates. Your team stops what they're doing to look it up.

  • It all lives in one person's head

When they're off, things stall, because the process lives in their memory and not in a system.

  • Software bills keep climbing

Per-seat subscriptions add up as you grow, for tools that still don't talk to each other.

What we build

Bespoke software built around how you work

We don't sell a product and bend it to fit. We look at how the work actually gets done, then build the software your team needs to do it faster.

  • Web apps

Custom web applications your team and customers use in the browser, on any device, with nothing to install.

  • Customer and supplier portals

A login where customers place orders, track jobs, download documents and pay invoices without ringing you.

  • Internal tools and dashboards

Replace the spreadsheets with one system for quotes, jobs, stock or approvals, and see the numbers live.

  • Booking and ordering systems

Online booking, ordering and scheduling built around your services, your rules and your pricing.

  • Integrations

Connect the tools you already pay for, like Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, your CRM or Microsoft 365, so data only gets entered once.

  • Mobile-friendly apps

Apps your team uses on site or on the road, installed on the phone's home screen and working without a signal.

Custom or off-the-shelf?

When custom software is worth it, and when it isn't

Custom software isn't always the answer. We'll tell you on the first call if something off the shelf would do the job.

  • Custom makes sense when the process is your edge

If the way you quote, schedule or serve customers is what sets you apart, software should fit it, not flatten it.

  • When you're paying for workarounds

Hours lost to re-keying, chasing and fixing mistakes often cost more than building the right tool once.

  • When your tools don't talk to each other

A small piece of custom software in the middle can tie together the systems you already have.

  • Off-the-shelf makes sense for standard jobs

Payroll, accounting and email are solved problems. We'd connect to those rather than rebuild them.

  • Or when the process is still changing

If you're still working out how something should run, a spreadsheet is fine for now. Build once it settles.

  • Sometimes automation is enough

If the problem is repetitive admin rather than a missing system, AI automation is faster and cheaper.

How it works

How a software project runs with us

You see working software early and often, so there are no surprises at the end.

  1. Discovery call

A Google Meet or phone call where you walk us through how the work gets done today and what's getting in the way.

    45 minutes

  2. Scope and fixed quote

We write up what we'll build, in plain English, with a fixed price and timeline before any work starts.

    Within a week

  3. Build in weekly releases

Every week you get a working version to click through, so feedback shapes the software as it's built.

    Typically 4 to 12 weeks

  4. Launch and training

We move your data across, walk your team through it and stay close for the first few weeks.

    Launch week

  5. Support and keep improving

An optional monthly plan covers hosting, fixes and new features as the business changes.

How much does custom software cost in Northern Ireland?

It depends on what the software needs to do. A focused internal tool or customer portal usually costs less than people expect. After the discovery call we give you a fixed quote, so you know the price before any work starts. Ongoing support is an optional monthly plan.

How long does it take to build?

Most projects take between 4 and 12 weeks. You get a working version to try every week, and we can often launch a first version early and add to it.

Do we own the code?

Yes. The code, the data and the accounts everything runs in belong to you. It's documented, so another developer could pick it up if you ever needed them to.

Can it connect to Xero, Sage or QuickBooks?

Yes. We regularly connect to accounting software, CRMs, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and booking systems. If you use something less common, we'll check on the discovery call.

Do we need a web app or a mobile app?

Most businesses are best served by a web app that works on any device and can be installed on a phone like an app. It's quicker and cheaper to build than separate iPhone and Android apps. If you really need an App Store app, we'll tell you.

Do you only work with businesses in Belfast?

No. We work with businesses across Northern Ireland, from Belfast and Lisburn to Newry, Derry and everywhere in between. Most of the work runs over Google Meet, and we're happy to meet in person when it helps.

We already have a system. Can you work with it?

Often, yes. Sometimes the best answer is to connect to what you have or build a small tool around it, rather than replace it. We'll look at it before recommending anything.

Can you add AI features?

Yes. We build AI into software where it saves real time, like reading documents, drafting quotes or answering routine customer questions. We also build standalone AI automations for admin-heavy teams.
